FitToll’s unlock window is a fixed stretch of real time. It starts the moment the app unlocks and keeps running whether or not you are in the app.

Why a fixed window

A timer that pauses whenever you leave the app sounds generous. In practice it means an unlock never has to run out. Dip in for a minute at a time and a fifteen-minute window can stay open for days.

A fixed window keeps the deal simple: you paid the toll, and you get the time you set.

How the timer works

  • It starts the moment the app unlocks, as soon as your reps are done.
  • It runs on real time. Closing the app, locking the phone or switching to something else does not pause it.
  • Unused minutes are not saved. The next unlock is a new window.
  • Each app has its own window. Unlocking a second app does not touch the first.

How it fits with the rest of the gate

The timer is one part of a system that is deliberately hard to talk your way past:

  • No skip button. Three emergency bypasses a day, and each doubles the reps on a later unlock. More on why there is no skip button.
  • Reps that cannot be faked. Counting reads joint angles rather than motion, and half-reps do not count.
  • Nothing leaves the phone. Pose detection runs on-device and works in airplane mode. No video is recorded or uploaded.

Window lengths

Free unlock windows are up to 15 minutes. Premium ($5.99/month or $29.99/year) allows windows of up to 2 hours, alongside lifting the one-app blocking limit. Prices shown in USD; local pricing applies at checkout.

When does the unlock timer start?

The moment the app unlocks, as soon as your reps are done.

Does closing the app pause the timer?

No. The window runs on real time. Close the app, lock the phone or put it in your pocket, and the clock keeps running.

Can I save unused minutes for later?

No. Minutes you do not use are not carried over. The next unlock is a new window, and it costs another set of reps.

If I unlock two apps, do they share one timer?

No. Each app gets its own window. Unlocking a second app does not shorten or reset the first.

How long can an unlock window be?

Up to 15 minutes on the free tier. Premium allows windows of up to 2 hours.
